Torch Light / head lamp (Most lodges do not have 24hours power supply.)

Toiletries and towel are not provided in the lodge. Please prepare own toiletries and towel

Please bring CASH $$, as ATM machine is not available. Roughly about RM100 per day. If you would like to do some shopping, you may bring more. :-)
- local specialties: [ Bario Rice that Slow Food Presidia Award in 2003 (RM25 for 3kg)
Pineapple (RM3 /RM4 for 1kg); Bario Salt (RM20 each stick); Jungle cinnamon
Tengayen [wild spinach]; handicraft (RM 3 ~ RM 1000 +++++, depends on type and sizes)]

Umbrella or disposable rain coat (rainfall occurs from November to February)
Light sweater and socks -Weather forecast (MAX Average: 29C, MIN average: 16C) predicted to have rainfall every day. :-)

Insect Repellent

Bario is a nice place for challenging and adventurous trekking. Here are the necessary things that should be brought along:

Sleeping bag or blanket
Jumper or sweatshirt
Trainers (sport shoes) or light weight walking boots
Flip flops (thongs or slippers)
Water bottle
Torch light
Small handy first aid kit
Mosquito coils or repellent
Water proof bag
